These engagement pictures in Miami with Daniel & Rafael were an almost effortless experience. Aboard one of the Celebrity Cruises ships, I spent time with Daniel and Rafael exploring what was around each and every corner. They hung out at the bar with fluted glasses of champagne, strolled along the deck while holding hands, and slipped into their formal wear for a stop at the hallway of mirrors.
Engagement pictures are such an important part of your Miami wedding experience. They allow you to take a moment to stop and celebrate the newfound union in your life. You get to be present and let the happiness of your upcoming wedding wash over you while leaving behind the stresses of planning. Engagement pictures also give you the ability to step in front of the camera before your wedding day. For many of my couples, engagement pictures are the first time they experience professional photography. I love the ability to work with my couples prior to their wedding, and for this reason, But also because I want to get to know them better. I want to see what the physical version of their love language is; the way they embrace one another, and how they look into each other’s eyes in those knowing moments.

Daniel and Rafael’s upcoming wedding is taking place on the same cruise shoot where we captured their engagement session. It seemed only fitting to spend the day exploring the ship's elegant design, and grand staircase while taking in the gorgeous views of the ocean. In particular, their willingness to be open about capturing engagement photos in various locations throughout the ship is what made their session so special.
The session kicked off with Daniel and Rafael in casual nautical attire. Crisp, pressed button-down shirts and relaxed khaki pants set the tone for a spirit of fun. Capturing these first few images of their session was all about honing in on the deep connection they share, in a way that was lighthearted and filled with joy. Daniel and Rafael are the kind of couple who know just what to say to make the other laugh. For them, smiling came easy. They could look into each other's eyes and pure joy would fill them in an instant. I knew then that what they shared was something wonderful.
After our fun moments on the deck, Daniel and Rafael traded their casual nautical attire for a more formal look. It was time for sleek black suites with elegant bow ties. This transition in attire allowed us to create a diverse range for their engagement pictures in Miami. With Daniel and Rafael looking positively aisle-ready, it wasn't hard to find a few breakout locations within the ship to add a level of artistry to their photos.
