Dreams Macao Beach Wedding

Dreams Macao Beach is a stunning oceanfront wedding venue in Punta Cana. Althay and Alexis were married at Dreams Macao Beach and we were beyond honored to travel to the Dominican Republic to capture every moment for them. This was our second time this year traveling to this stunning resort for one of our couples and the thrill was just as amazing the second time around!

While this may have been our second time visiting this stunning wedding venue and resort, one thing is for sure, we will never tire of the the dreamy views and relaxed atmosphere. And Althay and Alexis did it up big for their wedding at Dreams Macao Beach! Their entire day was al fresco, with a ceremony in the sand and a wedding reception on the rooftop terrace. After all, when you get married in paradise, who wouldn’t want to take advantage of the amazing weather, and the ability to spend the night dancing under the stars?!

Althay and Alexis can only be described as an easy, go-with-the-flow kind of couple. They were beyond joyful on the day of their wedding and trusted us with their vision of capturing each moment. Their wedding day was an intimate celebration of around 50 guests and kicked off in the bride’s suite. My beautiful bride got ready in true wedding day fashion, in her bridal suite, with her mom and maid of honor; lounging in matching PJs! With her hair and makeup done, her corseted top ball gown was fastened and we were ready to work on her bridal portraits. We stepped outside to take advantage of the bright blue sky and the venue's contemporary architecture. With a twirl of her gown and a glowy look in her eyes, she was a total natural in front of the camera.

The wedding ceremony took place at the Dreams Macao Beach Gazebo. This particular space is right on the sand and provides a picturesque backdrop of the ocean. The beach gazebo space also includes a wood-planked aisle. It’s the perfect choice for couples who want to enhance their wedding day with floral arrangements, and lanterns, Which is exactly what Althay and Alexis chose for their best day ever! At the end of the aisle, a circular floral arbor, made of white roses and greenery, set the stage for Althay and Alexis to become husband and wife.

With the couple pronounced as married, it was time to hit the beach for their wedding day portraits. The sea crashed against the shore and the wind blew in their hair, and they took each moment in stride, enjoying being in each other’s company as newlyweds. With portraits wrapped, we were off to the rooftop terrace for a reception under the stars. The couple outfitted their space with a cake swing, a giant LOVE marquee, and cafe lights twinkling overhead.
