Ashley & John's Wedding at Trump National Doral Miami

Ashley & John's Wedding at Trump National Doral Miami was a fun day full of epic moments! I have to admit, their wedding venue is quickly becoming one of my favorites in Miami. The resort is absolutely stunning! It’s an endless scene of fountains, gardens, and the most gorgeous greenery you have ever set eyes on. The reception space for Ashley and John’s wedding was extravagant, with the most epic view. But the bride and groom had impeccable taste and when it came to their wedding day decor, their reception was transformed into the most elegant, chic, modern wedding!

The bride and groom’s connection has a little something to do with the University of Miami! Ashley met John’s brother while she was still attending UM. Once she graduate, she began tailgating with his brother and friends. Over the course of the season, they exchanged hellos, but it wasn’t until the very last game of the season that they struck up a conversation. They reconnected about a month after that initial conversation and from there, they began dating. Ashley and John quickly became inseparable. When she began graduate school, the couple started taking steps to move in together. From there they bought their first home, brought home their fur baby, and in October, John proposed!

John popped the question to his beautiful bride in front of the U statue of the University of Miami Coral Gables Campus. The University of Miami was such a big part of how they met, so it seemed only fitting that their story continue in the same way. John completely took Ashley by surprise with his proposal and even included her best friend in on it! With Ashley’s friend taking photos of the proposal, there was one more surprise in store for the bride-to-be. John, a firefighter for Coral Gables Fire Rescue, had the fire trucks meet them at the proposal location in order to take photos and mark the occasion of their engagement!

With the proposal sealed, there was only one thing left to do. Plan the unforgettable wedding day of their dreams! Over 150 guests attended their wedding at Trump National Doral Miami. With a chic color palette of black, white, and maroon, and a surprise appearance by the University of Miami’s mascot, Sebastion the Ibis, their day was nothing short of epic!
