Candice and Steven’s wedding at The Addison of Boca Raton was glam meets fun!

My beautiful bride and groom traveled all the way from California to sunny South Florida to have their wedding at The Addison of Boca Raton! The Addison of Boca Raton is known for its outdoor courtyard and Florida palm trees vibe. Designed in 1926, The Addison is a historic wedding venue. It was modeled after Spanish painter El Greco’s home in Toledo, Spain. Today, The Addison is on the National Register of Historic locations, has been fully restored, and serves as one of South Floridas most desirable wedding and event settings!! Did they pick the perfect wedding location or what?!

The Addison of Boca Raton is also known for its 100-year-old Banyan Tree! The outdoor space at The Addison is a breathtaking courtyard with a sprawling tree right in the center! The courtyard also has a gorgeous marble fountain to create a scenic backdrop for your ceremony or wedding photos.

My bride and groom’s setup at The Addison was all about flowers! There were florals in every corner of their courtyard ceremony and inside their private main dining room. There was even a beautifully created cascade of flowers laying over the fountain and accented by white candles. Wait until you see the details below!

Candice’s wedding gown looks like it was born to be photographed at The Addison! My gorgeous bride wore a long-sleeve ballgown-style wedding dress with a train that went on for days! To accessorize she paired her gown with a cathedral-length veil. Candice had two pairs of wedding shoes for the day. Her first pair were strappy platforms absolutely covered in rhinestones. And to dance the night away my bride wore a pair of bejeweled white converse high tops. Candice was definitely not afraid of a little bling on her wedding day!

After Candice and Steven said I do, they ‘jumped the broom’. The act of jumping the broom at your wedding symbolizes a new beginning and a “sweeping away” of the past. It can also symbolize the joining of two families or be used as a way to pay homage to family ancestors.
