Rusty Pelican Miami Wedding | Cristina & Ernie — DIPP Photography

I am sharing all of the elegant details, from Cristina and Ernie’s wedding day at the Rusty Pelican in Miami, below!

My bride and groom’s day was filled with so many special moments and Cristina was one of the most elegant brides that I have ever had the pleasure of working with!

Getting ready time happened at the Four Seasons Hotel in Miami, where Cristina and her bridesmaids wore pretty silk getting ready robes while having their full hair and makeup done. Once the bridal party had received the full glam treatment, but just before getting into their gowns, they all tossed some confetti together in celebration of the bride!

Cristina slipped into her bridal gown and spent a few special moments with her flower girl before she read a note from her husband to be (tissues required!). Then it was time to head off to the ceremony at Gesu Catholic Church in Miami. Cristina wore a full-length veil and carried a bouquet of all white florals that included a cascade of white lilies.

Cristina’s father walked her down the aisle where she and Ernie vowed to love one another forever. Their wedding ceremony at Gesu Catholic Church in Miami also included the lighting of a unity candle.

After the wedding ceremony, I was able to spend some time alone with the newly married Mr & Mrs to capture some intimate moments before their reception started. Their private time together included a room reveal for their reception at the Rusty Pelican in Miami! Those private moments between Cristina and Ernie were some of the most tender ones of their wedding day because they looked at one another as if no one else in the world existed, isn’t that so sweet?! Having a room reveal on your wedding day is also the perfect time to capture a few photos because the room is totally empty and there is so much excitement in the air before the guests arrive!⠀

In the days leading up to their wedding, anytime that I had spent around Ernie, he was always very lighthearted and I would easily describe him as a 'joker' who took everything in stride. During their reception at the Rusty Pelican in Miami, Ernie’s emotions came bubbling to the surface while the toast happened and it was a truly moving moment.

The night ended when a storm of confetti rained down on the bride & groom, as well as all of the guests who had joined them on the dance floor to celebrate!!
