Family Photographer Miami | Minimalist Portrait Session
Being a family photographer in Miami is filled with precious moments like these! This family, in particular, is very special to me. So I was beyond honored to spend the day with them capturing their treasured memories. And believe it or not, their dad was actually my pediatrician growing up!
Kaylee and Eric came to me wanting to capture their two littles. Their vision was an elegant minimalist session, shot from the comfort of their own home. And I was totally on board with their vision! I especially love how seamless it can be to work with children in the comfort of your own home. No worrying about packing up a diaper bag, or toys and snacks. All while dashing out the door to make it on time for a studio portrait session!
But setting up a family session in your home can bring about lots of doubts! All of a sudden you’re worried about having the house immaculately cleaned, whether or not that stain on the sofa will show in the photos, and the toys everywhere! In all honesty, all it takes is one corner of your house, and possibly a sleek backdrop to capture gorgeous family photos like the ones below!
Oftentimes, we let the fear of those things stop us from scheduling an annual family portrait session (and yes, you should be refreshing your family photos every year)! Children grow so fast, almost too fast at times. And capturing them in each stage of their life allows you to relive the precious time they spent nurtured and loved at home. So, if you haven’t had a family portrait session done in a while, now is the time before the end-of-year madness sweeps in.
